Products J - Point J-Point is a fully functional management and configuration system that communicates with a Jel Controls network. It allows hardware and software points to be defined, and also the ability to set up control loops, logic loops, time zones and optimizers. J-Point supports both local and remote sites with the use of dial up facilities via the Jel Site Commander. It is also possible to connect to remote site commanders over established Internal customer TCP/IP networks using Ethernet to Serial Converters. This has the advantage of being a more reliable method of communications, and also the cost savings associated with not having a phone line. Other features of J-Point allow the user to retrieve logging information at pre-configured times. Also Source and Destinations can be setup to facilitate the transfer of point values between units. J-Point also has an inbuilt facility to transfer point values between disparate systems, such as Jel to Trend. A built in utility allows the user to scan an existing Jelnet database and automatically add the points, and loops to the Integrator databases. The automatic tree facility can be used to generate a tree with all points added to the tree and in tabular format on associated graphics. A fully working system can be up and running in less than an hour.
